It's not willpower. It's not discipline. It's not that you haven't tried hard enough.
It's the noise. The food noise that pulls you toward sugar at 4pm. The mental noise that loops the same tired story about your body, your cravings, your capacity to change. The creative noise that keeps your real voice just out of reach.
Water fasting is one of the most ancient tools for clearing all of it at once.
For seven days, I'll walk with you — through the preparation, through the fast itself, and through what emerges on the other side. With daily live support, somatic writing practices, and a community of women doing the same thing at the same time.
There are four fasting options. You're welcome to fast for as much or as little as feels right for your body. But if you want to go all the way — I'll be right there with you.
An overview of fasting — what it is, what it isn't, and why it works. We cover the science, my personal experience, and what to expect this week. You'll receive your somatic writing practice for the day and we set intentions together as a group.
How to eat in the days before a water fast to make the transition easier. What to have on hand. How to prepare your environment and your people. Tips for managing the first hunger waves and the stories they bring.
Before we fast the body we fast the noise. Today's somatic writing practice goes deep — what is the story you're carrying into this fast? What do you hope to leave on the other side? We write it out before we begin.
The first day is often the hardest. Your body will talk. Your cravings will have opinions. We go live at 11am to hold the space and give you tools for the day — including a somatic writing practice for what surfaces when the food falls away.
Something shifts on day two. The noise often softens. Clarity moves in. This is where the creative and spiritual work deepens. Your somatic writing practice today is for the voice that emerges when the food noise finally steps aside.
The third day is often described as a portal — a state of clarity, calm, and expanded awareness that is difficult to describe until you've experienced it. We hold this day gently together. We write. We listen. We emerge.
How to break a water fast safely and gently. What to eat, when, and how much. We'll also close our somatic writing arc — what story are you carrying out of this week? What has shifted? And what do you want to do with the clarity you've found?
These books are not required — everything you need is inside the immersion. But if you love to go deeper, these are the texts that have shaped my understanding of fasting.
I came to fasting the way most people do — curious, a little skeptical, and carrying more food noise than I knew what to do with.
What I didn't expect was the silence. The particular quality of clarity that arrives when the food falls away and the body finally gets to speak. As someone who has spent thirty years working in trauma and addictions — and as a writer and publisher who has helped hundreds of people find their voice — I recognized what was happening immediately.
Fasting is a portal. And somatic writing is the map of what you find inside it.
I built this immersion because I wanted women to have what I didn't have the first time I fasted — daily support, a trauma-informed container, and practices for making meaning of what surfaces. You shouldn't have to do this alone. And you don't have to.
Important: This program is not suitable for anyone with a current or historical eating disorder without prior medical clearance. If you or someone you know needs support, please contact the National Alliance for Eating Disorders helpline: 1-866-662-1235.
Absolutely not. You choose the fasting approach that fits your body, your history, and where you are right now — water fast, liquid fast, sardine fast, or protein-sparing fast. You can also adjust your approach during the week as you learn what your body is telling you. There is no failure in this container. Whatever your body calls for is honored.
For most healthy adults, a short water fast with proper preparation is safe. However, fasting is not appropriate for everyone — including those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a history of eating disorders, or certain medical conditions. Please consult your healthcare provider before beginning any fast. This immersion is not medical advice.
Every session is recorded and available in the Facebook group immediately after. You can watch at any time and participate in the community at your own pace. Many participants will be watching recordings — you won't miss anything.
No — they are entirely optional. Everything you need for the immersion is included. The books are for those who love to go deeper and want additional context around fasting science and women's hormones.
Yes. Somatic writing is not about being a good writer — it's about using the act of writing to access what lives in the body. No experience, no talent, and no polished sentences required. Just a willingness to put words on a page and see what arrives.
Due to the digital and community nature of this immersion, all sales are final. Please make sure this feels right before you join — I'm happy to answer any questions beforehand.
